+ philosophy
The practice provides a high degree of personal attention and expertise to each individual client regardless of the size of the project. Solution beyond the obvious are sought to produce environments and architecture which not only meet clients' needs but add value to their product. A contemporary language with due respect to the regional architecture of the place is always applied. Appropriate methods are applied to design the project at hand. Space created is always flexible space, allowing the client to impart their own identity into their built environment. Space is defined in many ways. Although uniqueness is always sought, a r + d does not try to reinvent the wheel. Contemporary methods and technologies are applied to make better machines for habitation. a r + d is most concerned with the respect for nature, culture and the safeguarding of the environment in which one builds.
